I’m a ZOOMA Race Ambassador!

ZOOMA Cape Cod
ZOOMA Race Ambassador
I few years back I ran the ZOOMA Cape Cod Half Marathon. This race was a part of a women’s race series. I love the idea of having a race that is for women. There are so many women runners out there and so many women considering taking up running and trying their first race. However, some races can be intimidating if you are new to running. The fact that these races are designed solely for women runners creates a positive racing environment to new runners as well as to the most seasoned runners.
The race series mission is “To inspire women to live healthy, happy, & active lives.” This years race series is made up of the Virtual Run Love Challenge (happening now), and 3 races in Annapolis, MD, Amelia Island, FL, and Cape Cod (Falmouth), MA. Not only is this race series for women it is a series that was started by Brae Blackley (Founder and Executive Director) in 2007 and supported by Brooke Reiley since 2007 as Director of Operations. Both women are passionate about running and running a race series that, “empowers women to live active, healthy, and happy lives.” (Source).
Each race features either a 10K (6.2 miles) or a Half Marathon (13.1). You can choose the distance that best suits your running goal. The races take place in scenic locations where in addition to the race you will enjoy a race-cation that includes a Fitness Expo and an After-Party Expo, post-race massages, yoga shopping, and live music. The ZOOMA race series definitely makes a great girls weekend away!
I have always wanted to be a race ambassador for the ZOOMA race series and this year was finally selected! I am so excited to be a ZOOMA race ambassador and the extra exciting part is that I have a 10% off RACE DISCOUNT CODE to offer you when you register for one of the races:
DISCOUNT CODE: SANDRA16
I hope you will join me here on my blog Organic Runner Mom for inspiration as I train and race and I hope to see you become part of #ZOOMANation at one of the ZOOMA Women’s races this year!

Have you ever raced ZOOMA before? Which location would you choose: Annapolis, MD, Cape Cod, or Amelia Island, FL? What is your current running goal?

I have ALWAYS wanted to do the ZOOMA Cape Cod as a girl’s weekend/racecation so this may be my year! Congratulations and I will definitely be considering this!!

Oooh!!! Maybe we could pull a group together!!! Would be such fun!!! That might make two weekends in a row if we also do Rise. Run. Retreat 🙂
I’ve been wanting to do a ZOOMA race for quite awhile now, and was so excited to also be selected as an ambassador this year. I plan to run the half in Annapolis in June.
