This week my workouts were nothing to write home about. Just the usual CrossFit, run, and spin routine. The one exciting part of the weeks workout was a chance to run in Central Park in New York City.

Sunday-Treadmill Run

Our weather has been sloppy lately. Lots of snow and some run. Also, since I was hanging out with the kids my run was on the treadmill today. I kept it short.

Monday-CrossFit

CrossFit with Alaina the trainer was a real kicker today. We did a lot of front squats and lunges. We also did pull ups. Amazingly I surprised myself by being able to do 5 straight pull ups in a row.

Tuesday-Spinning

Today was my second time at spin class. I loved it. There is nothing better than riding with the music cranking as you simulate a ride on rolling hills!

Wednesday-CrossFit

This session of CrossFit made me sore for days. We did snatches and overhead squats as the main part of the work out. I am still working on form when it comes to the snatch overhead squat complex so I kept my weights on the lighter side. We also did Toes to Bar, deadlifts, and wall balls.

Thursday-Day off

Friday-Treadmill Run

Nice and easy 40 minutes on the treadmill before heading to NYC for the weekend.

Saturday-Central Park Run

Seen around New York City

3.5 miles or 2 loops around the Central Park Reservoir in New York City. It was so much fun to have different scenery to look at, to see the lights of the city and to be running in a place with so many other runners.

  1. I love the variety of your workouts. My favorite was a 7 mile run with friends and my least was any one I did solo. Luckily this week, it was only Wed and in NYC so not too bad.

  2. Great job! I had a fabulous session of yoga this week. It was a hot, power yoga class, which is very out of my wheelhouse, but I ended up really enjoying it.

    I returned to my cycle class this week and it felt wonderful!
    I haven’t run in Central park since I was there 6 years ago today! Such a beautiful place to run!

  4. One of my goals this coming 2019 is to have a healthier and fit body. I’ve been slacking when it comes to workouts and exercises that’s why this coming next year, i’d like to know what routine would work out for me. Anyways, thanks for sharing!
