It’s all about Vulcan’s Fury this weekend and if you thought I was talking about raging Trekkies at a star trek convention then you have come to the wrong place. If you are curious however to learn about Acidotic Racing’s Vulcan’s Fury 12-13 Mile Trail Race then STOP! Don’t make another click!
I am running the Vulcan’s Fury Trail Race this weekend in Pawtuckaway State Park in Nottingham, New Hampshire. Apparently this State Park is located on a former volcanic site hence the name Vulcan’s Fury. Who new we had volcanoes in New Hampshire at one point? I am excited to attempt this 12-13 mile trail adventure as it will be a new trail course for me and it looks like there will be some cool vistas and things such as giant boulder fields. The weather is going to be gorgeous, perfect fall day sunny and in the 60’s perfect for adventuring down single track trail and through water crossings.
The Vulcan’s Fury Trail Race was capped off at 300 entrants this year so I was especially excited to get an entry and am hoping that I have an awesome race (pesky Peroneal Tendonitis please do not flare up!). I am going into this race with no other expectations but to have some fun, maybe get a little muddy and to experience some sweet single track trail on a perfect New Hampshire fall day.
But for now I leave you with this motivation for your weekend running and wish all the best to those racers out there this weekend. Race with grit and determination and leave it all on the course!
