So many running adventures going on!

Triathlon and Running Adventures!

I have been going non-stop for the past month and a half. Life has been a whirlwind of crazy adventures. I’ve got one more awesome adventure this weekend at the first annual Rise.Run.Retreat (blogging retreat) and Maine Half Marathon. After this weekend. I need to give my body a break. I have been racing and training hard for the past month and a half and I am starting to feel worn down.

Here is a quick rundown of what I’ve been up to lately in case you missed it:

August 15th TimberMan Half Ironman (70.3 miles) in Gilford NH. 55th in my age group, finish time: 6:36.16

September 12th Lobsterman Olympic Distance triathlon in Freeport Maine. 8th in my age group, Finish time: 2:56.19

September 26th North Face Endurance Challenge Trail Marathon in Park City, Utah, 3rd in my age group!!!! Finish Time: 5:48.43

Another running adventure. Rise. Run. Retreat. 2015

This weekend I will be running the Maine Half Marathon as a part of the Rise.Run.Retreat weekend. I am super stoked to finally meet and to see again this group of amazing bloggers:

Jes from rUNladylike
Sarah from RunFarGirl
Tina from Fuel Your Future with Tina Muir
Angela from Happy Fit Mama
Laura from Mommy Run Fast
Christine from Love Life Surf
Carrie from Eight Crazy Soles
It will be inspiring to hear all about how these women got started with blogging and running and to hear about all of the places that running and blogging has taken them. I am looking forward to a high energy weekend of relaxation, running, yoga, food, and information! As far as the half marathon goes I am going to play it by ear as far as how I run the race. Since I just completed the trail marathon on my running adventure last weekend in Utah my body is still in full on recovery mode. My legs are pretty fried and I just feel fatigued. I figure I will start my watch at the starting line and then not pay attention to the splits. I plan to run based on feel but also to have a lot of fun during the race. Running in Maine is always gorgeous even though it looks like we will probably be in the rain. Hopefully Hurricane Joaquin won’t put a damper on our weekend or cause the race to be cancelled (I am crossing my fingers).

As soon as this amazing weekend is over I will focus on recapping my recent running adventures and triathlons. I have learned a lot about myself and about racing this summer that I would love to share with you. If you want to follow along with my running adventures at the Rise. Run. Retreat. this weekend I will be posting on Instagram and Twitter.

Where have your running adventures taken you lately? Do you have any big races coming up?
