Raspberry Go Go Smoothie Recipe
For Fresh Friday this week it’s back to berries and bananas for me in my smoothie. It has been a long week. My son (Age 2) is now going on his 4th week of illness (Ear infections BEGONE!). The result has been an overtired Mommy, Daddy, and kids and a lot of grumpiness. In need of an energy boost to get me through the day I decided to create this Raspberry Go Go Smoothie because this week it has been a challenge to keep my motivation up (I think the time change is not helping either-I hate it when it is dark by 4:30!).
For this smoothie I decided to use two of my favorite fruits-Mango-go-go and raspberries for their bright tart flavors. I stuck to my usual base for the smoothie of bananas and low-fat Stonyfield Organic Milk and added in some Tera’s Organic Fair Trade Chocolate Whey Protein for sustained energy. Topping the smoothie off with ice and then whirling all of the ingredients up in the blender resulted in a bright almost ice cream like smoothie that filled my belly and lifted my mood.
I hope you will give it a try!

We are overtired and grumpy in our house, too… daylight savings is not fun with a toddler. She was up at 5:10 this morning, instead of her typical 7am. Argh!
The smoothie looks delicious! And I am so intrigued by that protein powder- I try to seek fair trade products whenever possible, and never heard of this brand. Gotta check it out!
Hi Laura! I know, the time change when you have a kid is the worst! Hopefully they will all get back on track with sleep. I know I could use some shut-eye! I am very excited that you are doing IIN too. Have you started up yet? I am looking forward to hearing all about your experiences. Hope all is well. I just love reading your blog. How dod you get it all done? Sometimes I am in such a good rhythm with writing and then life with kiddos takes over and I get all bogged down.
Oh and thanks for checking out the smoothie! It was so tasty. I just love this Whey Protein. You should definitely try it!
