Pavepara is a relatively new fitness inspired eco-friendly apparel company. The garments are created with a consideration to the environment and inspired by birds. I was excited to have a chance to some apparel from Pavepara having always been environmentally conscious.
When I was in high school my friend Suzanne and I were Co-Presidents of the Ecology Club. Known back then as a tree-hugger it is no surprise that now sustainable and eco-friendly products are at the top of the list when it comes to purchasing everything from food to fashion. Living on a former dairy farm in a tiny town in New Hampshire and only a mile away from our family’s own organic egg farm I am often reminded about the importance of the environment that we live in. I feel lucky to live in an area that is still highly untouched by humans other than for purposes of farming the land and hunting. The environment that surrounds us is pristine. Mountains to our backs, open fields, and a quiet stretch of the Connecticut River. We are very lucky.
It is these things in the environment that Pavepara clothing has focused on when making their mission to create clothes that are made in the USA out of the ecologically friendly textile merino wool. Merino wool is also naturally moisture wicking, antimicrobial, and washable making it perfect for an active lifestyle. The clothing from Pavepara can be worn for runs, to yoga and even for an evening out. This clothing line was dreamed up by owner and lead designer Chance Poe. Birds are the inspiration for her design process which can be seen in the flowy nature of the garments and the light feel of the textile. 2% of the profits from all sales of Pavepara clothing goes towards bird conservation and research.
These cozy arm warmers come in black and are made of New Zealand merion wool. These are a shorter arm warmer just passing the elbow and have thumbholes. These arm warmers or winglets are great for a cooler workout, post workout or as a layering piece on a colder day.
I am not always one to wear shorts as my legs are freakishly long (haha! I’m like a giraffe) but this is a pair of shorts that I love. They do have a short 3.5″ inseam. The material is so soft making these extra comfy for a workout or just lounging around. They are made of black recycled polyester with Purple stretch silk trim detail. These shorts come in either a small or medium and run true to size. The wide waist band also adds extra comfort.
This tank has to be my favorite piece that I recived from the Pavepara collection. I will wear this tank to run, to yoga and to go out. I love the gorgeous lavender color and the antique silver silk inlayed stripe on the back which is a surprise detail. This top is not only comfortable but is also very flattering with its drape next and sexy athletic cut back. This top comes in several other colors. I may need to add another color to my closet.
