#OrganicHolidayHappiness Challenge-Dress like a rainbow for your run

#OrganicHolidayHappiness Challenge

Happiness is . . . Dressing like a rainbow when you go out for a wintry run . . .

I am a huge fan of wearing crazy colors and wild patterns every day and that definitely extends to my running wardrobe. In the winter when the days are dark bright colors and patterned close help with lifting my mood.  Some of my favorite pieces include teal blue Under Armour Women’s Cold Gear running tights with a silly zebra-like pattern at the waist, a bright pink Under Armour Women’s Cold Gear Turtleneck which you can pull up over your nose when the wind is whipping and includes everyone’s favorite . . .thumb-holes to give you an almost eighties-like glove appearance (you know the half-gloves with the fingers cut off).  To keep the warmth from escaping through my chimney (my head) I like to top things off with a Skida Hat or headband. Skida is an awesome Vermont Company started by a Nordic skier at Burke Mountain Academy. You can get the hats either lined with a soft fleece or unlined which is nice on days when you are heading out for an especially sweaty workout.  The Skida Hats come in all kinds of awesome patterns-flowers, polka dots . . .tons to choose from.

What is some of your favorite winter running gear?  Do you like to “dress like a rainbow” when you go for a run?

  1. Love these hats!! I’m always annoyed by the selection of hats in stores but these are right up my alley! I’ll have to add them to the Christmas wish list! Thanks for posting. 🙂

    1. Glad I could make a recommendation Leslie! I have to admit I have a slight “Skida” addiction. But who says you can’t have more than one right? Happy running!
