*Disclaimer: These items were shipped to me by review by HumanX Gear, Janji, Clever Training and Dude Girl for review. All opinions expressed are my own.

1.  Dude Girl

Founder of Dude Girl, Kim McElhinney, was inspired to start her company by the spirit of her Grandmother, Dorothy Dodge McElhinney. Dorothy Dodge McElhinney had a ” love for horses, and her raw talent for taming and riding them, earned her a job wrangling and breaking saddle horses, and soon she had twenty of her own” (SOURCE). Kim spent much of her childhood on her Grandmother’s ranch and was inspired by her Grandmother’s journey on horseback to be with her husband in California. Her Grandmother, ” lead a good ol’ fashioned pack trip all the way over the Continental Divide to The Pinto Ranch that she had recently purchased in Southern California. One of the four cowgirls on the trip, and one of Grandma’s closest friends, Doreen Foote, wrote the story of their two-month journey in a book called Dude Girl.”

Dude Girl has several different styles of soft, slim fitting t-shirts to wear after your run or ride or when you are out with the girls.  These t-shirts have a vintage feel with distressed edging.  I love the colors and the different designs.  The three styles are “Giddy-Up, Bike Love, and Chickatee.” Obviously my favorite is the “Chickatee” which has little yellow chicken footprints across the back of the tee.

Run For Another. Janji was started by Co-founders Mike and Dave, two collegiate runners who saw the need to give back to, “fund solutions and raise awareness for the global water crisis” (SOURCE).

This shirt is so soft and comfy it is perfect for wearing on a run or as a warm-up t-shirt.  The sale of this t-shirt gives clean water to one person in Kenya for one year. Proceeds support, “, an organization that has pioneered innovative, community-driven, market-based solutions that help people gain access to safe water and sanitation.”   I was also sent a women’s runing headband which provides one person in Tanzania with 6 months of clean water. 1. i love using jump ropes for fitness training because its a great workout and so easy to take places

  2. Visited Clever Training – the Magellan Heart Rate Monitor would be another pick (beyond the Garmin) if I were shopping for my husband’s training.

  3. never gotten anything from janji before but love their philosophy! i’d probably pick running shorts 🙂

  4. Wow awesome giveaways as usual! If I could get anything from clever training it would be some sort of GPS watch, maybe a Suunto Ambit 3 in my dreams. Jump ropes are great for warming up indoors on cold mornings, used to do that in high school during winter run club. If I could get anything from Janji it would be the 1/4 zip top, or the running pants. I love their products and met Dave from Janji at an expo, super great people!

  5. I would choose either the Women’s Bird Peru Long-Sleeve Running Shirt or the
Women’s Rwanda Rain Forest Running Shirt.

I do like using a jump rope for fitness. I have never used a weighted rope. I have a regular one from Target.

  6. I’d love to win a dude girl tee. SO cute! It is nearly impossible to decide which one, but I would probably pick the bike love or Chickatee. LOVE!

  7. My wife would like the CEP Night Calf Sleeves in Pink or a pair of Newton shoes from Clever Training. Christmas is just around the corner!

  8. Wow! I love the concept behind Janji. Buying from companies that are socially and/or environmentally conscious genuinely makes me feel happier about the item I’m purchasing. I would love to buy some of their running tights. I’m not sure if I’m hip enough to pull of the printed ones, though, hah!
