Moving Forward

Hello friends!

So now that many of you have read my post on my major depression its time to start focusing on moving forward. It’s time to start looking towards the future and to my goals for what’s to come in the remainder of the year ahead. Now that my kids are a bit older and in school and occupied much of the time I have more time to start dreaming about what I can do with my time. It’s time to get back to something that was really my first love . . . coaching. If you didn’t already know it I was a novice rowing coach for two years right out of college and I loved it. Rowing was my passion but even more than that I was passionate about sharing and teaching my love for sport with others. There is something so rewarding about helping others to discover the joy in something.

Now I am going back to my roots and I am studying hard to become an ACE Fitness Certified Personal Trainer. I am enjoying studying again and learning in the field of science (I should have been a science major in college instead of a French Major). In addition to that I have signed up for my Road Runners Club of America Level 1 Run Coach Certification. I will be taking this course this summer in Portland, Maine and cannot wait! Once I have these 2 certifications I hope to build up a Fitness and Wellness Business. I am also certified as a Holistic Health Coach through the Integrative Institute of Nutrition and am a Beautycounter consultant which will round out my business.

Once I am certified I am excited to start building up a list of clients to work with both through online coaching and also at the local health and fitness club. I am so excited to be able to share my passions for fitness, running, nutrition and natural beauty with so many of you! Now I need to come up with a name for my business.

What exciting things do you have happening on the horizon?
