As runners we all live for having GOALS to prepare for. However, with the Coronavirus and all of the stay at home and shelter in place orders happening most races for the spring and now the start of the summer at least have been cancelled or postponed. I know personally I do much better when I have a goal to work towards. Now Virtual Races and Run Series are starting to pop up. This is great because this will help to give you goals and to provide more structure to training.
Here are a few of the Virtual Race Series that I have recently discovered:
Deborah from Confessions of a Mother Runner just introduced me to The Uncanceled Project. Put on by Run the Edge, for this series you get to pick your distance each week 5K, 10k, Half Marathon, Marathon, and Ultra (31+ Miles). You also get to pick where you run. Every time you “race” you will share a picture of your “flat runner” the night before and then after you “race” you will share your race with the facebook group. Run the Edge will be sending out Run Trackers so you can log your miles and earn your bib! This series is free and open to everyone!
LOVE the RUN Your With from Another Mother Runner. This series runs from April 6, 2020 until July 26, 2020. This series has 4 races spread over 4 months. You will get a 4 month training program. There are 4 unique medals that will interlock together to spell LOVE-Bring on the bling! There is swag including GOODR sunglasses and race bibs and you can purchase a cute Tank for training. There is also a facebook group for accountability. The training plan includes running and cross training to help you to stay on track and fit! It’s $99 for the series or $120 for the series and the tank.

run DISNEY has a Virtual Race Series that begins in June and runs monthly through August. This is a Virtual series of 5k’s.When you submit your finish times you will receive a race certificate. Your 5K can be run on a trail, on the road, or even on the treadmill.
Gone For A Run Virtual Races. These races are ongoing. There are a range of distances available included 5K and half marathon. Sign up and get great swag and pay more for great add-ons. These races each benefit a charity. Race registration comes with a T-shirt or tank and a cool medal. You can download a customizable training plan, there is access to a coach for any questions you may have and you will get exclusive tips and videos. Races include the Coffee and Donuts 5K, Running is not Canceled 5k, Mom Needs a Run 5K, and the Love to Run 2.14 Miler.
