The Boston Marathon is now three weeks away. Over the weekend I was successfully able to run without coughing my head off! My coach prescribed me to treadmill running and spinning on my bike.
I was sad to be missing the Eastern States 20 miler but not sad to be slogging through the earlier spring monsoon-like weather. Even though I am feeling better I want to be 100%healthy come marathon Monday. Since I didn’t get my last 20 in I will be running a midweek 20 miler. It will be a true test of my discipline as I will most likely be running solo. The planned workout deemed a “20-21 mile fun run” (ha!) by my coach should give me a good idea of how things will go come race day. I am looking forward to testing my legs on the pavement!
