The task of staying adequately hydrated when you run can be a complicated task unless you have the right gear. During my years as a runner I have tried several different methods for carrying hydration with some systems being more comfortable and successful than others. I was excited when Fitletic asked me to try their Hydra 16 oz. I don’t carry water on shorter runs and for long distance running I like to carry a hydration pack but I have needed something for those middle distance runs where it is nice to have a little something to drink on your run. I tend to sweat a ton when I run so hydration is extra important for having a good run.
The Fitletic Hydra 16 oz is one of the most comfortable hydration belts that I have worn. It is worn low on your hips and has silicone grippers on the inside of the belt to ensure that it stays in place and does not migrate or slide as you run. I love the fact that the belt stayed in place because this is a good indicator that this will not cause chafing. The belt fastens with a simple clip and has two 8 ounce fluid containers perfect for carrying one filled with water and one filled with your favorite sports drink (for me it’s always Skratch Labs!). The belt also has energy gel loops to carry any needed fuel and a great water resistant neoprene pouch perfect for carrying your phone, cash, key and/or I.D.
Features of the Fitletic Hydra Hydration Belt:
- Dura Comfort Technology
- Silicone Grippers
- Water Resistent Neoprene pocket
- Interior Pocket for Cash/I.D.
- Quick Draw Holsters and two 8 oz. bottles
- 2 energy gel loops
- Reflectors for visibility
- Race bib toggles.
