Athletic apparel made from 100% post consumer plastic. Yes please! I was recently introduced to GoLite who’s mission is to create sustainable activewear out of post consumer plastics using sustainable methods. GoLite produces its activewear using low energy production methods. They use recycled materials in apparel tags and biodegradable and compostable poly bags and post-consumer recycled shipping materials. The clothing is made in fair wage responsibly run factories. Women’s Rescooba Jacket. $150
The Women’s Rescooba Jacket comes in colors Seagrass and Shadow. It is made from recycled plastic bottle fiber which will save an estimated 25 bottles from going into the landfills. This jacket is a full zip with a hood. There is one pocket on the chest and two pockets for your hands. There are reflective strips on the sleeves. This jacket is extremely comfortable. It is very stretch for ease of movement when running. I will wear this jacket for running and also to stay warm for casual wear.

Rebound Legging $100
The Women’s Rebound Legging is also made from recycled plastic bottle fiber. These leggings will prevent an estimated 20 plastic bottles from going into the landfills. This fabric has 30+ UPF to protect you from the suns harmful rays. This legging is a medium high rise, sitting just at your navel. The inseam is 29″ which is perfect on me and I am 5’9″.
These leggings have three pockets, one secure leg pocket on the left, a drop in pocket, and a zipper pocket on the back. The Rebound Legging comes in a variety of colors and patterns. These leggings are super comfy for yoga and running or just wearing around.

I think I have heard of this company, but didn’t know much about them. I’m a huge advocate for recycling and using as little plastic as possible, so I love what they’re doing! I’m also 5’9, so it’s good to know there are some tights/leggings that are actually full length (most seem to be capri-length on me LOL).

I have heard of other companies doing this, but not this particular one. I love the concept and I love those leggings. I’m also on the taller side so it’s nice to know their leggings are the appropriate length.

Yay for sustainable activewear! I’ve been trying to switch my clothing to more of that lately, but it’s been a slow process! I get cold easily, so I want that jacket! 😛
