Dynafit Running Gear Review and Giveaway!
Disclaimer: I received four Dynafit items in exchange for my review. All opinions expressed here are my own.
If you didn’t already know it trail running is what made me fall in love with running. It was those first long trail runs with my friends Bridget and Joanna that meander through single-track wooded trails, up over mountains, near rivers and ponds that made me fall in love. Sometimes there is nothing better than heading out into the woods to run. The good smells in the woods such as the smell of freshly fallen pine needles, wet moss, or the discovery of ripe berries tempting you from the side of the trail are the things you crave after the run is done. The trails while often laden with obstacles, roots, rocks, and fallen branches draw you in with the soft ground that cushions each footstrike and the cool fresh air that hits your face as you run.
I am fortunate to live in Northern New Hampshire near amazing trails in and around the White Mountains and not too far from the Kingdom Trails a vast network of mountain biking, running, and cross country skiing trails in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Adventure beckons on most days and if I can the trails are where I go to run. I was super excited to be contacted by Dynafit earlier this summer about trying out some of their Running gear which is perfect for trail running adventures.
Dynafit is part of a family owned business in Italy with North American Office in Boulder, CO. The mission of Dynafit is, “Dynafit is a brand for dedicated mountain athletes (passionate ski mountaineers in winter and mountain runners in summer) who strive to equip themselves with the most innovative, highest-quality gear available. Lightness, Speed, Performance and Technology are the core values embodied by Dynafit. Dynafit Adopted the Snow Leopard as the company logo because it represents, “Speed, Lightness, Performance and Technology. The snow leopard moves with speed and elegance among the world’s highest peaks, making it an ideal example for athletes to emulate.” True to the mission and the logo the gear that I received is ultra-lightweight and performs well on the trail.
A Review of Dynafit Running Gear
Dynafit Pantera S Running Shoe
Retails for $139.95
I can’t tell you how excited I am about this running shoe. This is the Dynafit Pantera S running shoe. My foot can be hard to fit because I have the curse of the narrow foot so I always get a bit nervous when trying out something new. Not only is this shoe pretty (love the Babylon/Silvretta color) but it fits my foot well. It has a nice arch and is narrow through the middle of the foot which holds my foot firmly in place. This running shoe features a Vibram sole and has great traction on the trails even when they are wet and slippery. Suggested activites for this shoe are Alpine Running, Ulttra Running, and Vertical running. The Pantera has plenty of cushioning without being too heavy. This shoe will definitely stand up to the test of miles on the trail!
Here are some other great features of the Dynafit Pantera S:
- Ortholite Footbed
- Sensitive Fit (This means a nice roomy footbox which is great when your feet swell a little bit during an extra long run!)
- Form Fitted Upper
- Duo Motion (Great for motion control)
- Vibram Sole
- 8mm sole drop
- Ballistic bumper on heels and toes (to help keep your feet safe from injury!)
- Multipad midsole
Retails for $79.95
The Dynafit React running skirt is very lightweight and has great compression shorts underneath. The seams are stitch free which is great for reducing any chafing that could occur. I like the color as I am always dressing in blues and greens! The sizing is European so I went with the 42/36 which correlates with a US size small. The skirt wicks moisture away and has some great ventilation features. There is also a zipper pocket in the back of the skirt perfect for an energy gel, phone or music player.
The Enduro Tank
Retails for $54.95
I love this tank because it is very lightweight making it extra comfy on super hot days. The Micro mesh is great for keeping you cool. The cut of the tank features a racerback and the tank has a nice stretch to it. This tank top is great out on the trails!
Trail Jacket
Retails for $169.95
This Alpine running jacket is lightweight and easy to store in your hydration pack if needed. The jacket easily packs into a “packable pocket.” It is made out of lightweight durastretch and one of the best features is that it is wind resistant. It can get very windy out on the trail and up in the mountains so the hood also makes a nice addition. This is a great jacket for me because I get warm very easily so I love the soft and lightweight fabric. Not only is this great for mountain and trail running but also will be great for going cross country skiing this winter! This jacket also has stitch free seams which is extra important when you are logging big miles!
The Verdict
After trying out all of this amazing Dynafit gear I am in love. I love the lightweight materials and the functionality on the trails. The shoes have become a favorite in my line-up of trail running shoes. I am looking forward to checking out some Dynafit gear for my winter adventures!
Have you ever heard of Dynafit? Now here’s your chance to enter to win something extra special from Dynafit! Dynafit has been generous to offer my readers a chance to win the Dynafit React Jacket, an amazing jacket perfect for trail running, alpine running and more.
This is what they have to say about this jacket, it is a “Water and Wind resistant, ultra-light hooded Jacket with a minimalist cut to optimize function and packability. Packs into sleeve pocket. Sounds pretty amazing right! The Dynafit React Jacket retails for $159.95.

First of all, I’m going to try an embrace the trail run of the triathlon I have this Sunday. For a mostly road runner, the sandy, rutted and rocky trail is not my favorite (or fastest!) way to end a race 🙂
Second, I’m in LOVE with that jacket! Thank you for the giveaway!

I’ve been looking for a jacket that would keep me warm & dry during Spring and Fall. I’ve just recently discovered trails, and am also in love! This jacket would be perfect!
I would wear it at the park and when I workout outside.
I’ve never heard of Dynafit but looks like it’s working well for you. The shoes and jacket are super cute!
That jacket looks like it’ll be great for some late fall running.
Hmmm…..we need the right weather here in FL for a jacket like that — I’m thinking for our Swamp Forest run in January — it can be pretty chilly there (by Florida standards!).
I’ve never heard of Dynafit either, what cute stuff! I would love to win, this gear would be perfect for Reach the Beach!!

I’ve not heard of this brand before but it looks great! I’d wear it on one of my trail runs.
Sounds like a great review! I could definitely use this jacket for winter running on the Canadian East Coast!

Where would I NOT wear it??!! You had me at “lightweight” and “wind resistant.” A New England girl now living right in the heart of Hurricane Katrina country… the longest season here is *very* windy and the temperature fluctuates from swampy air to central air necessitating the ability to layer/shed on the fly! I LOVE this and the fact it is my favorite color only makes it better!
I would wear it running this fall!
I love cool weather running! I’m always looking for the perfect light weight jacket!
I’d wear this on my fall runs!
I love the whole color scheme of your outfit – so cute!
If I won the jacket, I’d definitely wear it for fall running and the fall outdoor fitness classes I’m teaching.
I’ve never heard of this brand but I’m always on the hunt for new and fun colored jackets. This fits both of the qualifications =)
Very nice!
Excellent
I would wear it EVERYWHERE! Seriously though, since it is wind resistant and not bulky, I would wear it on my runs on those chilly/windy days in Nebraska!
That looks like a great jacket, skirt and tank. Great colors too! I would wear those on fall runs along the Bruce trail.
I’d definitely be wearing this out on the trails. It’s a really pretty color too 🙂

The better question would be…where wouldn’t I wear it!? 😛
It’s rarely cold enough to run in a jacket here, so I’d probably wear it to and from the track.
I’ve never heard of DynaFit. Looks like some nice gear. I love that they are lightweight and functional apparel. Love the jacket!
I’ve not heard of this brand before. The skirt looks great! Very nice running out wear! I’d wear it on my AZ trail runs during the fall and winter! I want to win it!!!
This stuff looks great! I don’t have many trails in NYC, but I’d still love this jacket for fall/winter runs!
Id wear this around the track and around town!
Great review! I love that we had different items too! So tell me…the skirt. Do the shorts have rubber grippers? I find that if they don’t they ride up. Did you have any trouble with that?
I love the jacket, seems like an all around great price of running gear. Plus, bonus hood.
Oops, meant piece not price!
Most of my running is on paths here in the preserves! I’d love to do more trail running, tho.

That looks like it would keep you dry but isn’t heavy…love!
I would wear it… um… everywhere, except to formal events. Just kidding. I do love athletic jackets, but I probably would wear it at home, running, etcetra. 😉
I’d wear the jacket trail running for sure.
Great pics. I loved the products at first glimpse lol. They were turquoise.
Great review! I am moving up to VT next month and I definitely want to try out trail running, but have no idea where to start with trail shoes, so this was well timed for me!
Neato!!
I would surely pack this jacket for my DC Ragnar race this October.
I would wear it out running and walking once it gets a bit cooler and especially for rain.
This trail running gear looks awesome! The trail is my happy place <3 I'd love this Dynafit jacket!

I would wear it while running this fall.
I would wear it run and hike the local trails!
The wind makes me cold, I would wear the jacket on the trails around my house. Love the color too.
I’d wear it as it starts to get chilly this fall, on my runs!
I would wear it walking around my neighborhood – I run-walk a few miles every day.
I would wear it running the trails on Pine Mountain
I would wear it while I was running, hopefully on some trails.
I would wear this jacket running and spending time with my kids.
I would wear this all around our neighborhood. I really like the coverage the zipper and hood provide. Hardly any exposed skin!
I would wear it everywhere once our rainy season starts. It would be nice to have a good workout jacket.
This jacket looks great for the constant weather changes in the northeast – both for running and my daily biking commute to work.
I would wear it everywhere!
This would be the perfect running jacket for the Fall!
On my fall runs
Stunning Would love to try this product
Stunning Would love to try this product
Lovin’ the jacket! I haven’t done much trail running in a long time, but I’m thinking after my marathon I may get back to the trails! I think this jacket would be perfect for trail running in GA all winter!
I would love to wear this on my morning runs at my local parks!
I’ve never heard of this brand before – but it makes total sense for a company to focus on trail running…it’s so different than road running! Do their clothes fit like other European brands (read: small/tight)?
I don’t get in too much trail running because I don’t want to go out there alone, but my state park is nearby and has some trails that I can run through without worrying. And if I had some specific trail gear I guess I’d *HAVE* to do more trails!
I would wear this around our neighborhood. I take our kids out in our jogging stroller for a walk or a jog almost every day and it is getting chilly out 🙂
I’m not going to lie, I try to wear running clothes to work as often as possible. (We’re a casual dress office.) The shorts and pants and tights are right out, but I usually wear my race shirt the day after a race, and I’ve snuck in a few running skirts.
Trails still intimidate me a bit–I’m better at hiking them than running them!
Running
I’d wear it while running in my happy place: A game farm just outside of town!
LOVE the colour!
