Best Books to Inspire You to Swim, Bike and Run!
The Best Books to Inspire You into the new year!
I am trying to get my Boston Marathon training cycle fully underway however my children gifted me with a nasty cold/flu thing and I’ve been down for the count for the past three days. Interestingly I had a fantastic run during the day on Saturday and then went swiftly downhill on Saturday night until I could barely stay awake. On the bright side at least I made it through the holidays healthy and was able to enjoy some much needed time with my family. Not only is my body exhausted but my mind has been feeling foggy too so rather than bore you with a long drawn out post that may or may not make sense I’ve put together a quick list of some of the best books to inspire you to swim, bike and run your way to better health and fitness this year. This list of books comprises some of my favorite reads including Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen and A Life Without Limits: A World Champion’s Journey but also ones you may not have heard of from my rowing days like Mind Over Water: Lessons on Life from the Art of Rowing a book that is sure to inspire!
Now, for me its back to chicken noodle soup, hot tea and napping with hopes of hitting the road tomorrow or the next day to get back on my marathon time goal quest (more on that later!)

Great list! I’ve read Born to Run and really liked it and I’ve seen the movie for Pre. One of my favorite motivational books, although it is not necessarily fitness related, is You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero. Highly recommend!
I haven’t heard of that book Betsy, heading over to Amazon now to check it out!
I love this list, I’ll have to keep it in mind next time I’m looking for a running book. My favorite running motivation book is “What I talk about when I talk about running” by Haruki Murakami.
