Boston Strong. A Look at the Finish Line. Remember.

Boylston Street. Boston Strong.

Last week I had an opportunity to revisit the Boston Marathon Finish Line. I needed to go and be there. My husband dropped me off. Boylston Street is back to being busy filled with the every day noises of the city but is forever changed. I had my husband drop me off so I could experience my emotions.

With the city pulsing around me. Here are the quiet moments that I took in . . .

Remember.

No More Hurting People.

PEACE.

Finish that Race.

  1. I love how the city of Boston and runners everywhere have come together to support, fight back and raise money for the victim of the attacks. We can’t let it change us, or they win. I know that is easy to say and very hard to do, but it is true. Don’t let them win!

  2. We’ll be in the city for the first time since the marathon this weekend for the BAA 10K. I hope to visit Boylston and pay my respects.

  3. This is a beautiful tribute. I’m glad that you had a chance to go back and I hope that it helped the healing process.

  4. Earlier today I read about a couple that was injured there. The woman found out she was pregnant when the ER staff tested her upon admittance. So she said today (she waited to announce) that pain has turned to joy. I hope that’s what happened for you too. Except the pregnant part. Unless that’s your plan. Argggh, you get my drift.
