I am sure by now you have all seen this fun app on facebook that generates a word cloud of your most used words on facebook. I love looking at this word cloud and seeing all of the positivity that pops out of my cloud. This is a good reminder of all of the good that comes along with every day. Seeing the positives in every day is not always easy unless we are able to step back and take a look from the outside. My year in words encompasses so many of the things that make my life happy and full: Love, Piper, Brock, Jesse, running Silver Lake, friends, thankful  and then words like happy, amazing and woohoo! And of course words like running, marathon, half ironman, challenge and endurance are central  I hope to have many more years filled with these words and experiences. This is a helpful tool to use when thinking about more ways to incorporate positive thinking into your life!

Training Recap

My training has been really off this week due to fighting of a cold/sinus thing. Poor Organic Runner Dad came home from traveling last week with a flu/like illness so my week was spent trying to stay healthy. Unfortunately I got a bit of a head cold so since I am not currently training for anything I decided to take it super easy this week. I also didn’t want to be sick for the holidays.

I do have some exciting race plans to announce soon but I’ll be keeping that news under wraps for a little bit .  . .

So here us what my week has looked like:

  • Thursday: Bootcamp and Yoga
  • Friday: Easy Treadmill Run
  • Saturday: Rest Day
  • Sunday: Rest Day/Ziplining
  • Monday: 30 minute treadmill run
  • Tuesday: Yoga
  • Wednesday: 50 minute treadmill run
  • Thursday: Rest Day

  1. I just put Adventure of a Lifetime on my playlist. It hasn’t come up yet, so it hasn’t been road tested!

    I did that FB word thing too, but since I don’t post a lot on my personal page, I most got words about my youngest son and rugby. Made me feel like I was neglecting my oldest. I think he needs to step up his game!
